When people ask me what I do and I tell them that I am a divorce coach, I get a variety of reactions. Some people have an immediate positive response and tell me that they think it’s a fantastic idea and a really useful service to offer. Aaaahhhh my happy place! As I write this, I’m relaxing in a hammock at the end of a pier in magical Bacalar Lagoon. Everybody has a different vision for what creates their own unique happy place. And sometimes the happy place reality that we can actually create at any given time may differ from that vision. And this reality may change depending on what’s going on in our life at that moment....

Where do I even begin? Well, I’m a very proud single mom of two wonderful teenaged daughters. But that picture has changed its frame many times over the years. After much soul searching, and much counselling, my ex—husband and I decided to call it quits in March of 2009.
